School Offerings
Hosted by various Network Schools, school offerings are designed and offered to bring together students from our schools to participate in unique immersive learning experiences.
Sacred Heart Global Academy
At the beginning of the 2021-21 school year, Woodlands Academy and Forest Ridge School began our
Sacred Heart Global Academy (SHGA) partnership in an effort to better meet the needs of our international students who were unable to return to our campuses due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The partnership began as a way to provide synchronous classes for the students, and over the course of the year has expanded to offer four classes per semester, two sessions of a 9th grade bootcamp for new students, and a summer intensive for-credit semester course - all taught by Forest Ridge and Woodlands faculty. Also, during this time, Woodlands Academy and Stone Ridge School partnered to offer
Solidarity and Sustainability: A Network Virtual Dialogue Exchange. This semester-long virtual exchange program utilized dialogue skills to create a student-centered program focused on issues of social justice. Students met monthly to discuss issues important to them while also developing friends across the Network. The program culminated in the Alum Panel featuring three young Alum who continue to live out Goal III: A Social Awareness that Impels to Action. Additionally, members of Sacred Heart Schools Atherton partnered with other global Sacred Heart schools to connect students in virtual exchange during the pandemic. This highly successful, engaging, and collaborative experience is now known as
Sacred Heart LIVE. This year, we are expanding all three programs to Sacred Heart students and faculty around the globe, continuing to build partnerships and collaborative relationships so intrinsic to the sacred Heart Network. Eventually, we hope to bring students together in person to build on the relationships these started!
